The larvae glow as they emerge from the water to the surface before becoming chrysalises. There were about 40,000 of them. The locals were surprised at the unusually large number.
幼虫は、さなぎになる前に、光りながら水中から地上へ上がってくる。その数、約4万匹。例年にない数の多さだと地元の人は驚いていた。
