UCHIBAYASHI — Biwataiko

Oshima comes back through the melody of Ascending Tiger.

At dusk during the Minato Festival, taiko drums resound across the harbor.
Twenty-six taiko groups from across the city, with around 600 performers, line up more than 500 drums and play in unison.
By the time the sun has fully set, fireworks begin to rise behind the drums.
Among so many groups, part of the pleasure is finding the one that becomes your favorite.

打ちばやし — 美和太鼓

〈昇り虎〉の旋律で思い出す大島。

みなとまつりの夕方、港に太鼓の音が鳴り響く。
市内の和太鼓団体26団体、約600人の打ち手が、500基余りの太鼓を並べて演奏を披露する。
日が沈み切るころ、太鼓の向こうに花火が上がりはじめる。
数ある団体の中から、ひいきの団体を見つけるのも楽しみのひとつである。
